Home Remodeling Across Colorado's Front Range

Kingdom Remodelers serves the Front Range from Colorado Springs north to Fort Collins, with the same planning discipline in every community along the way.

Luxury home remodeling along the Front Range is never quite the same job twice. A basement in Castle Rock sits on different soil than one in Fort Collins, a historic Denver Square answers to a different review than a newer home in Windsor, and a Boulder kitchen is held to an energy code that a Colorado Springs kitchen is not.

Three things change most as you move along the corridor, and each one shapes a remodel before any finish is chosen:

  • Who issues the permit. Colorado Springs work runs through the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, Denver through its Community Planning and Development office, and most suburbs and towns through their own building divisions, with county offices covering unincorporated land.
  • What sits under the house. Much of the Front Range is built on expansive clay, which is why finished basements here are usually framed to let the slab move on its own.
  • What the house already is. Historic districts in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins add design review to exterior changes, while newer master-planned communities add HOA approval instead.

Radon runs through all of it. Colorado sits largely in the EPA's highest radon zone, so testing belongs at the start of any basement or lower-level plan, wherever the home is.

That is why we plan by region. Each page below explains the permitting path, the conditions of the housing stock and the questions worth asking before work starts in that part of the corridor. Choose your area to read the local guide, or see how our kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling and whole-home renovations are planned anywhere along the Front Range.
